AMHERST, Mass. — Students in Massachusetts are facing a “slippery” situation!

All the schools in the regional school district were closed Thursday. A message posted on the district’s web page said the schools were closed due to “weather-related building issues,” according to WWLP.

The high school principal later said there were 22 reports of students falling during the school day Wednesday.

The district’s floors were waxed over the summer and Wednesday’s temperatures melted the wax and made the floors slippery.

Moss and board members Karen Gerringer and Bob Knight said the memorial park has dual responsibilities to the public –  to serve a as a place of remembrance and an educational tool.

New Chairman, Renewed Focus

South Carolina League of the South

Me in UvaldaI am pleased to have been selected by the SC LS Board of Directors to chair the SC League and wish to thank the Board and members. This is an opportunity to take stock, make some goals and renew our focus. Not long ago our organisation had a strong presence throughout our State and was able to exert significant political influence.

In recent years our activism has waned and things have stagnated within the SC LS. Thankfully, within the broader Southern nationalist movement there is a new commitment to activism. I have strongly supported this new commitment and participated in many of the activities of late. We have seen events organised on both the national and local level. In turn, this has generated a great deal of excitement and also drawn in many new (and often younger) members. Where club life can lead to paralysis and defeatism, activism has a way of solving many problems…

In this milieu, the subject of online retail and its correlation with personal communication (either face-to-face or via phone) is being fervently discussed in all sectors.

And so it goes for insurance as well. For the past thirty years, personal connections have been dominated by the contact centre, and while not many can question that the Internet has greatly aided in generating quotes, the accepted rule is that phone calls and in-the-flesh visits are still a vital part of the sales cycle and a major force in enhancing conversion rates. While many situations may call for the application of the personal appearance, it…
